LAND & CAMPING SAFARI (Mt Kenya-Samburu-Nakuru-Masai Mara)
Day
1-Arrival
On Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport you will be
met and assisted by Laswift tours and safaris Airport
representative and after exchange of greetings you will be with our
Professional driver/Guide and thereafter he will transfer
you to your Hotel.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 2-Samburu National Park
After breakfast depart for Samburu National Park. This
National Reserve has
an endless pageant of wildlife with frequent nocturnal visits
from the leopard family right from your lodge’s main gate.
Samburu National Reserve has excellent game spots for reticulate
giraffe, the unusual Beisa Oryx with its lovely long straight
horns, gleaming black and white coat impala, blue legged Somali
ostrich, waterbuck, Grant's gazelles, dik dik, duiker, olive
baboons, gerenuks, lions, spotted and striped hyenas. Dinner and
overnight at Elephant Watch Camp
Day 3-Samburu National
Reserve
A
whole Day is spent in the reserve with morning and evening game
drives with an option activity of visiting the Manyatta. Dinner
and overnight the Elephant watch Camp.
Day 4-Lake Nakuru
Early
Morning game drive before Breakfast and after breakfast departs
for Lake Nakuru Game reserve with game enroute arriving in time
for lunch. After checking in your lodge .After lunch you will
have an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel
Merica.
The lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird
spectacle on earth - myriads of fuschia pink flamingos whose
numbers are legion, often more than a million maybe two. They
feed on the abundant algae, which thrives in the warm waters.
Lake Nakuru National park is the sanctuary for the black rhino.
There are also a number of Rothschild's giraffe, Waterbuck are
very common and both the Kenya species are found here. Among the
predators are lion and leopard, the latter being seen much more
frequently in recent times. The park also has large sized python
snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen
crossing the roads or dangling from trees.
Day 5
–Masai Mara
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara game reserve, one of the
mostly visited reserves in the world. Have an after noon game
drive in search of the big five. Overnight and dinner stay at
the
Mara River Camp. Maasai Mara is famous for
wild beast migration. Watching millions of these animals move
together in mass is truly a humbling experience
for human visitors. Other animals are commonly spotted in the
park including the big cats: lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Lions are often found in large prides and it's not uncommon to
see them hunting. Elephant, buffalo, zebra, and hippo roam in
large herds while the topi, impala, and Coke's hartebeest are
also abundant.
Day 6-Masai Mara
Spend the day viewing across the rich tree studded grassland and
rolling hills. Siesta at lodge or visit Maasai Villages at a
small fee of $20 as optional activity.
Meals and overnight at
the Mara River Camp.
Day 7-Nairobi
Pre-breakfast game drive and after breakfast depart for Nairobi
with a stop over at View point where you can have a view of the
Kikuyu Highlands and have a chance to buy souvenir arriving in
the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Airport for your
Outbound Flight.
