Primate Package
Day 01
- Arrival:
Arrive at Entebbe
International Airport On Arrival at Entebbe Airport you will be
met and assisted by Laswift Company representative who will pick
you from the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in
Kampala. If your flight arrives in the morning you are advised
to change money. To get to know Kampala, you can visit some
exciting places with the help of your driver/guide. These may include: Kasubi Tombs,
Namungongo Martyrs Shrine, museum and many others.
Dinner and overnight at
Speke Hotel Kampala.
Day 02 - Kibale Forest National Park
Drive to Kibale
Forest National Park After breakfast, we drive to Kibale via
Mubende. With lunch enroute arrive in late afternoon and take a
walk on Bigodi swamp to look for different bird species like the
Papyrus Gonolek, White-winged Warbler and many more also to see
are plants. Dinner and overnight at
Ndali Lodge.
Day 03 : Kibale Forest
National Park
This park has recorded the
greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in the
Great lakes region. Here we shall take a nature walk in the
tropical forest search of wild chimpanzees with trained guides.
Have lunch and afternoon we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National
Park passing via the crater lakes region with over 30 crater
lakes to be explored, it’s such a nice scenery to view. Check in
at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana Safari Lodge.
Day 04 : Queen Elizabeth
National Park (Birders paradise!!)
Start early morning in search
for; Lions, Elephant’s, Buffaloes, Hippos, Hyenas and more
wildlife. After lunch at Mweya, embark on the walk in
Maramagambo forest visiting the bat and the hunter’s cave where
we get a close look at the bats, the Pythons and the forest
Cobras. Boat launch at 0700hours along the Kazinga channel,
which connects two lakes; George and Edward. After the boat
ride, relax till dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 05 : Queen Elizabeth
National Park
To Lake Bunyonyi After breakfast, we take a
short drive to Kyambura gorge and take a walk in the gorge in
the Kyambura river where the game reserve derives its name and
experience different primates most especially Chimps in the
middle of savanna grassland.
This tropical rainforest
gorge is so rewarding not only in sighting Chimpanzees, but also
home to many bird species.
Have lunch then transfer to
Lake Bunyonyi for another scenario, arrive in time for evening
birding and then Dinner and Accommodation at Bushara Island Camp
/ Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp / Crater Bay Cottages.
Day 06 : Lake Bunyonyi
We explore lake Bunyonyi in
dug out canoes and after lunch depending on ones preference;
take leisure walks, mountain biking or swim. Finally, Dinner and
Overnight at Bushara Island Camp/Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp /
Crater Bay Cottages.
Day 07 : Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest National Park
We arrive late morning to
lunch at the Gorilla Forest Camp / Mantana Luxury Tented camp /
Buhoma Homesteads and take an optional Buhoma Village walk at an
extra $7.usd per person OR relax enjoying the evening till
dinner and overnight.
Day 08 : Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest National Park
We embark on the long awaited
adventure of Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest.
The jungle being unpredictable, it is difficult to estimate how
long you may hike; however the excursion may take 3-10 hours.
Encounter and viewing of
Gorillas lasts a maximum of one hour, which is a conservation
rule. Dinner and Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp / Mantana
Luxury Tented camp / Buhoma Homesteads
Day 09 : TO Lake Mburo
National park
Today after breakfast we
drive to Lake Mburo National Park where we have an evening game
drive in search for; Topis, Buffaloes, Water buck and not
forgetting the Eland, (the largest of the Antelopes found in
Uganda). Dinner and Overnight at
Mantana Luxury Tented Camp.
Day 10 : Lake Mburo
National park
Very early in the morning,
game drive in park and later return to your accommodation for
late breakfast and the boat Ride on the Lake. Afterwards Depart
early afternoon for Kampala stopping over the Uganda Equator for
some shots and visit to the Craft Village.
Later you will be dropped
at Speke hotel for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 11 : Kampala City Tour
Early breakfast then the
trip starts in the morning 08:30am after your breakfast and will
take you on a tour within and without the greenest city in
Africa.
The highlights being;

Bahai temple – visit the
biggest and only religious temple building of its kind in
Africa.

The Uganda Museum – a
historical feature with lots of colonial, cultural and
traditional collections and pass by the Makerere University –
visit the first and the oldest university in East Africa.

Kasubi tombs
– a traditional feature. The largest mausoleum in Africa, it is
a special burial place for Buganda kings. Our guide will be
pleased to give you a brief and interesting history on the same.
With the Namirembe Cathedral - the first and oldest religious
feature that was constructed by the European missionaries on
your way to Lunch at the African Village Restaurant.

Namugongo Shrines –
Afternoon drive to a historical and traditional
feature. The place where the first Ugandan Christians were
murdered at the orders of a Buganda king. And then on your way
back wind up with The craft village – place to buy African art,
curving, masks of your desire. Return to the Hotel for Dinner
and overnight.
Day 12:
Departure
Departure from
Entebbe International Airport Depending on the time of your
flight, have a city tour before the Airport transfer. And shop for souvenir, Pack
to your bags and get ready for the 40 minutes ride to the
Airport, Check in before time of the flight and the company
representative will see off.
